Khort went to lead a squadron of Hunters like him through the forest, presumably sometime during the Battle of Forest Heart, and they were ambushed by Sha. Shoulders of Doom: Going along with the Bling of War gear he wears in Twilight Highlands, his pauldrons are huge and bulky. Tyrathan is haunted by doubt after losing his scouting squad to a sha attack in the Jade Forest. Zandalari trolls from below by shooting arrows through cracks in floorboards. Empowered Badass Normal: He is briefly blessed by Goldrinn in Wolfheart, granting him near unlimited stamina, but nothing much beyond that.

Bolvar resisted until the end, and after the death of the Lich King, he convinced Tirion Fordring to pick up the Helm of Domination and crown him as the new Lich King, keeping the Scourge in check without anyone else knowing. Stripperific: She wears revealing outfits. We served together under Turalyon. However this was mostly dropped as their storylines diverged from eachother entirely.


Lord Anduin Lothar in the Second War, and King Varian Wrynn during the Third War. We Used to Be Friends: He was childhood friends with Edwin VanCleef and personally trained him in the ways of shadows and daggers, but while VanCleef set down on a path of revenge towards Stormwind, Shaw continued to serve the kingdom and countered his efforts. Varian: I am surprised you have the guts to take me on. Power Echoes: After donning the Helm of Domination. Authority Equals Asskicking: Supreme Commander of the Alliance during the Second War and evidently the one with the greatest martial skill, as shown prominently in the novels. Azeroth and the death of his father before his very eyes, before having to flee to Lordaeron. Holy Hand Grenade: As of Mists of Pandaria he has begun utilizing the Light offensively, throwing about holy fire against hozen attackers. While the Vanessa and the Defias reveal themselves by taking over Sentinel Hill, he managed to retake it with the help of Alliance adventurers, who would then go on to defeat the revived Defias in the Deadmines. Rogue cabal that secretly influences government actions from behind the scenes that not even governments know. Man Band sent into Pandaria to find Anduin.


His spirit shows up to Anduin when he takes up Shalamayne while doubtful of whether he would be a good successor to his father. He received a promotion following the events that transpired, making him admiral of the Stormwind navy. Artifact questline, despite the fact that she and the player are just trying to stop cultists from doing a ritual to summon demons into Stormwind. Mage Marksman: Used a bow in some of the early supplemental material. Brad Pitt in the Battle for Azeroth cinematic trailer. Anduin in particular gave him far greater purpose than just being a gladiator. Red Baron: Named the Lion of Azeroth for his heroic deeds and the lion imagery he wore into battle. His brief appearance in the Paladin order hall sees him profit a new fancy set of armour, using a silver recolored version of the Mists of Pandaria challenge armor. Eyed Idealist to someone who realizes that sometimes you have to fight to reach peace.


Alliance fleet arrives in Pandaria. Shaw before impersonating him. That Man Is Dead: Believes himself to be much different than he was because of how he got his squadron killed. Odd Friendship: With Varian and especially Broll. Heroic Sacrifice: Chooses to bear the mantle of the Lich King, keeping the Scourge forces from overwhelming Azeroth. Varian tames his anger and unites the Alliance while Garrosh is dominated by his hatred and fractures the Horde.


The player brings it back to Varian. Initially in Warcraft II he approached Blackrock Spire to parley with the orcs, but was subsequently ambushed and slain. Old Soldier: Stoutmantle is a veteran paladin, having served in the Third War and the war in Northrend, and continues to be an active soldier. Playing with Fire: His usage of the Holy Fire spell. He Who Fights Monsters: It deeply worries him that killing people never bothered him in the past. Old Soldier: Served his kingdom and the Alliance for many years in times of war.


Alliance into a war for survival. Gosh the gladiator, he takes on the looks and traits of the trope. Wielded his massive greatsword in one hand in conjunction with his shield. Heel Turn, Benedictus seemed to be an old and decent spiritual leader. Shoulders of Doom: Not initially, but the armor he wears after his promotion features a pair of big golden pauldrons. Numerous political events made his early years as ruler difficult.


Blooded: Initially had quite the temper when first appeared in Wrath of the Lich King, though he straightens out and becomes more calm through his Character Development. Under his leadership, the Valiance Expedition, together with the Horde forces, made its way to Angrathar: The Wrathgate. Paladin until his fall. Chieftain of the Darkspear Tribe and the new Warchief of the Horde. On full display in his Legion prologue comic. Mists of Pandaria is much calmer than before, fitting his more subdued personality as of the Wolfheart novel. He starts investigating reports of stolen cattle not only because he wants to help, but because it would give back the local farmers some faith in their government to see a member of the royal family showing he cares about them.


Valeera does it up close while Nova does it from afar. He then sent adventurers to slay VanCleef, freeing Westfall from the Defias. Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While generally rough and rude to some, he loves his son and does what he believes is best for his kingdom. Barbarian Longhair: Kept his long unkempt hair from his time as a gladiator. As the Archbishop of the Church of the Holy Light, he appears to be a man of action, as he personally takes action against evil across the world, whether by himself or by sending eager adventurers. His is just kind of cowardly, and still pulls a Heroic Sacrifice. Ascended Extra: Showed up as a Rogue quest giver during Classic, but had a slightly expanded role in Cataclysm, where he helps lead Alliance efforts in the Twilight Highlands.


Tragic Bigot: His hatred of the Horde and orcs in particular comes from their invasion of Azeroth and the destruction they inflicted upon his homeland, furthered by becoming a Gladiator slave in Orgrimmar. You are Skyfire men! King Magni, although he does so while acknowledging his respect of him. Dual Wielding: Wields a pair of daggers in the Twilight Highlands. There he bargained with the other human kings, and under his leadership the Alliance of Lordaeron was founded. Lich King, so as to be converted into his champion. Their bangs are also now virtually identical. Shield Bash: Bashes aside attacking undead with his shield at the Wrathgate.


Legacy Character: As the Lich King. Benedictus is referred to as the Twilight Prophet instead, and no mention is made of any Twilight Father. Great River in The Lord of the Rings. Badass Beard: His large bushy beard dates back to the first game. And I Must Scream: Ends up being murdered and tortured as a spirit by a necromancer, before being corrupted into a Bone Wraith. In Mists of Pandaria, while welcoming the Tushui into the Alliance, he challenges the Player Character to a sparring match. Man Army: According to Ragged John, he and Windsor were ambushed by a group of fifty or so Blackrock orcs. City of Canals: Stormwind City is divided into several districts by the various canals running throughout it, with the districts connected by bridges.


Broken Shore, Anduin picks it up, and the sword itself takes on the properties of the Light. Orc or Troll tusks and other things as trophies. Following his return in Wrath of the Lich King, Stormwind was ruled by King Varian Wrynn, who reigned until his death in Legion, following which Anduin Wrynn was crowned king once more. Finding that his old friend Medivh had betrayed the kingdom by letting the Horde into Azeroth in the first place, he led a group into Karazhan, where he and Khadgar were forced to slay Medivh. This was retconned in later sources; making it so that Lothar and Doomhammer sought each other out on the battlefield and fought against each in an honourable duel in which Doomhammer slew Lothar. Our decision to stay and fight was born out of courage and honor and a sense of family. Star Badass: An admiral as of Mists of Pandaria and takes an active part in the fighting.


Friend to All Children: Notably arrives in Southshore with the other Stormwind refugees carrying two small children in his arms and surrounded by a large number of other children, presumably orphans. The Good King: By all appearances, from what we know of him. The trailer for Legion partially retcons this by showing that Varian is able to split the sword into its two original halves at will. Bolvar Fordragon died with him. Sylvanas, another Horde leader he has a number of problems with. Varian, Broll, and Valeera remain friends. Wrath of the Lich King. It was taken from him by Emperor Dagran Thaurissan after his capture, and players can obtain it as a rare drop from him.


Varian jumps off the gunship to destroy the fel reaver and allow the gunship to escape. After Bolvar became the Lich King, he is also now the most prominent Stormwind paladin left. Badass Cape: Has taken to wearing a long red cape upon his return. Author Michael Stackpole did this on purpose because the first drafts of the book seemed too Horde oriented. Ironfoe was passed down generation through generation. Gentle Giant: Noted to be pretty big for a human, but he is also shown to be a kind and compassionate man. Explicitly called one by the Stormwind City Guards during his march to Stormwind Keep. In Legion, Varian leads the initial Alliance assault on the Legion position in the Tomb of Sargeras and Broken Shore. Archery is his passion.


Warcraft equilavent to the Pope would be much of a frontline fighter, but he proves himself when he not only fights the elemental invasion of Stormwind, but also journeys to Wyrmrest in Northrend for the Final Battle in Cataclysm. As he states, someone needs to don the Helm of Domination and take up the role of Lich King to keep the Scourge in check. You win and live, or lose and die. Stormwind, but was under the control of Onyxia in her human form, Lady Katrana Prestor. For reasons see Freudian Excuse. Taylor: I am truly honored that I could end my journey by your side.


Frontline General: Leads the charge personally at the Wrathgate and is the first to reach enemy lines. Trigger Temper: Following the imperfect merging of his split selves. Holy Hand Grenade: Utilizes the Light to smite his foes. Freudian Excuse: A lot of his hatred towards the Horde, orcs in particular, comes from the various misdeeds committed by them towards Stormwind and the Alliance. Skyfire destroyed and a lot of her men killed or injured. In the Hood: Initially wore a hood that covered his bald head.


Dual Wielding: Carries a rapier and dagger as her weapons in Legion. Casting a Shadow: He initially utilizes holy spells, but switches purely to shadow after his Twilight Epiphany. What Happened to the Mouse? As a result of this and several previous acts of aggression by the Horde, Roger carries a grudge against all of the Horde races. In Mists of Pandaria where he showcases offensive usage of his priestly abilities. The trick here is that you will need to have expert negotiation skills, patience and a very good feel for the prices on your realm. With very little effort you should be able to make thousands of gold with this technique. Look for valor items that are not being sold on the auction house already, or ones that you see being sold quickly on the auction house.


Valor Points each, all of them are BoE. The challenge with valor items is that they sell in much higher volume in trade chat compared to the auction house. What I have been doing lately, and what makes a lot of gold with very little effort, is buying these low and reselling them high. You can also sell them on the auction house, but this will take a little bit longer. The Undermine Journal might not accurately reflect what the items are actually selling for. If you only collect Justice Points, and have nothing to do with your extras, consider buying the Bind on Equip boots and posting them on the auction house or in trade. My favorite are the Bracers of Regal Force because they sell to tanks and there is usually no shortage of new tanks trying to gear up. See what type of offers you get in both directions and at what times of day. The Barber Shop: The barber shop will allow you allow you to change some basic appearance options if you want a new look. The Stormwind cemetery serves as a reminder of the many who have come before and the sacrifices many have made. You can also get up to the Gryphon Roost through this area. The Gilded Rose: This is one of many Inns you can find within the city. Warden Thelwater keeps watch over the stockade and the highly dangerous criminals who call it home. Prince Anduin, Tiffin Ellerian Wrynn. Fountain dedicated to the memory of Uther the Lightbringer, Paladin and defender of Stormwind sits in the center of the square.


It is an Alliance city and as such is unfriendly to Horde visitors. Stormwind Counting House: This is the bank. This once beautiful location is now a scar within the city. Some say they visit the cemetery for its beauty, for its peace, and so they can honor the lost. Players who want to start a guild or create a tabard for their guild will want to stop in here. East of the Dwarven District in the grassy area where you can also find the Pet Battle Trainer. Please note that guild banks are only available to those that are a part of a guild and access is determined by the guild leader and officers. The lion, symbol of the Alliance is prominently displayed both in the banners and the stone effigies on the parapets.


In time, perhaps it will be restored to its former glory. King Varian Wrynn stands sentinel as you enter the grounds. This is the seat of the royal family. The gates are open and stand ready and welcoming you to the city. You can get your own mail or send mail to others. Cloth Armor, Tailoring Supplies and Trainer, and item repair. Located in the southwest portion of the city, the Mage Quarter houses a variety of mystical services and goods.


You can ride this tram for free between Ironforge and Stormwind. Just mind the rats. Stormwind Stockade is a closely guarded prison built beneath the canals of Stormwind City. You can bind your Hearthstone to any inn and use it to return you to this bind point. You can bind your hearthstone to any inn and use it to return you to this bind point. Statues loom above on either side for commemorating the great fallen and lost heroes of the Alliance. Wandering vendors throughout the city are additional vendors such as the baker, Thomas Miller.


This is one of many Inns you can find within the city. This is only one of the many cities you will find in Azeroth. Hall: This is the auction house where you can buy and sell items with other players. Left Click before you buy them. Its charred remains are the calling card of the black dragon Deathwing. Recently, the inmates revolted, overthrowing the guards and plunging the prison into a state of pandemonium. There are fishing supplies and a fishing trainer near the passage way from the Trade District leading toward the Mage Quarter.


You just sit in the chair by right clicking it then select your options. Stormwind can be found nestled in a fertile valley south of the rocky mountains of Khaz Modan. Stormwind Gates which are flanked by two ballistae just outside of them. The Trade District will lead into three additional areas: The Mage Quarter, Cathedral Square, and Old Town. What could go wrong?
